Woburn, MA – Boston Industrial Solutions announced the launch of the new SAP-G70 Primer, a silicone bonding primer designed to prepare silicone and other challenging substrates for bonding with SA1-370 Silicone Glue.

The SAP-G70 Primer is formulated as a pre-treatment step to help promote reliable adhesion when bonding silicone to silicone and silicone to other materials, including metal and plastic. Used before the application of SA1-370 Silicone Glue, the primer provides manufacturers with a dedicated surface-preparation solution for applications where strong and dependable silicone bonding is required.

Silicone substrates can present unique bonding challenges due to their low surface energy and chemical characteristics. By incorporating SAP-G70 Primer into the bonding process, manufacturers can add a surface-preparation step specifically designed to support the performance of SA1-370 Silicone Glue.

The recommended bonding process is straightforward: prepare and clean the surfaces, apply SAP-G70 Primer as directed, and then apply SA1-370 Silicone Glue. This two-product system is designed to help manufacturers achieve more consistent bonding results across a range of silicone and mixed-material applications.
